We offer transportation service to the USFS Recreation Cabins on the Stikine River system and around the Wrangell vicinity. Learn more about locations and descriptions click HERE. Scroll Down to the Wrangell RD listing. The cabins are operated and maintained by the U.S. Forest Service. Prices run approximately $35.00 per night for a cabin. They are a very popular way to go in the rain country and can give you great opportunities for relaxation at awesome locations.. Click on the link above to see which cabin you would like or contact use for suggestions. We also have skiff and canoe rentals which are almost a must when renting a cabin, as most cabins do not have trails associated with them.
Stikine River
We provide transportation to all the locations on the Stikine River US side of the border. We can provide maps, local knowledge, suggestions to aid you on our way up the river. We also rent all camping equipment. Canoes are available through us. Contact us for more information or check out: canoe rentals, We can handle groups from 2 all the way to 25 people with gear on our vessels.
Banana Point Express (with road connection to Petersburg proper)
We also provide transportation between Wrangell and Petersburg OR Petersburg and Wrangell. via Banana Pt. Great way to move on your schedule rather then the AMHS ferry system or Alaska Airlines. ($60.00 per person) for our boat ride, either a friend, relative or a taxi can get you to or from Banana Point… roughly 25 miles road ride to or from Petersburg. AT times perhaps you can combine a LeConte Glacier tour with a drop off in Petersburg, bring your luggage and lets go !!!
POW ISLAND – FISHING WATER TAXI SERVICE
We provide transportation to numerous fishing lodges on Prince of Wales Island for years now. This service includes pickup and drop off at the airport or your lodging in Wrangell.
You can fly into Wrangell on Alaska Airlines flight 65 from Seattle Washington or flight 64 from Juneau Alaska, Breakaway Adventures will pick you up at the airport and Jet Boat you out to the Lodge of your choice, we will pick you up on your departure date and get you back to the airport.
Prince of Wales Island:
Whale Pass
We do transportation services for the Ruff It Cabins and General Store located in Whale Pass on Prince of Wales Island. Over the recent years of working with Jenny Vasser I haven’t ran into any clients that have been disappointed. They do have a extremely high return rate so if you are interested, contact them early for available dates. They also have a self-guided hunting service. Skiff’s available for your use.
Coffman Cove
To learn more take a look at the city of Coffman Cove website. One of the operations we have worked with for years is Hedges’ Coffman Cove Bunkhouse. They have a heavy return rate on customers so you should plan on booking your stay well in advance.
They provide full meals, skiffs are available for your use. We also work with J and J Charters, a charter outfit based in Coffman Cove. They can help you with any of your hunting and fishing charter needs!
Point Baker / Port Protection
You will want to check out The Outpost at Pt. Baker, They have been operating at Point Baker for many, many years. They also operate the Pt. Baker bar and grill so after a day of catching fish you can celebrate.
